The Manor at Ngorongoro – Monday & Tuesday 12th & 13th December
The property is looking beautiful especially the gardens. Managers on leave as expecting a baby but will be back in The Manor before Xmas. Food and service very good – especially the crater picnic – very well arranged and good quality.
All rooms now have walkie talkies so are able to contact the main house.
Our descent into the Crater was preceded by a visit to the Masai Boma close to the Western descent gate. Being low season very few vehicles but everything very green and less dusty than in the cry season – a beautiful time to visit. We came out on the Eastern access road which comes out near to Sopa Lodge.
Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge
We were impressed by our welcome, we enjoyed afternoon tea, good wifi reception (no charge) –and they even opened their wonderful shop for us for a little retail therapy! The main restaurant was closed for a matter of days whilst new guest buffet being installed before Xmas.
